BMC for Change
Brown Men's Crew is committed to fighting for increased representation and accessibility in our sport. STEM to Stern is a non-profit whose mission is to break down barriers of access that students from underserved communities face in rowing. By working with clubs to provide transportation, swimming lessons and STEM education, they make sure that kids are successful on and off the water. We have helped implement the STEM to Stern program at our local Narragansett Boat Club which held its first STEM to Stern camps over the summer.
Rowers For Change 2021 is an opportunity for our team to bring about the change we wish to see in rowing, both in Providence and all around the country. Half of the funds we raise will go to our local STEM to Stern program operated by Narragansett Boat Club and the other half will go directly to STEM to Stern to support their work and the athletes across the country participating in their programs. Go Bruno!
